These terms apply when you use unbiasedwheel.com (“Unbiased Wheel”), run by Tanveer Azam Ansari. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What Unbiased Wheel is

Unbiased Wheel offers free browser tools for making choices in a group, such as wheel spinners, name pickers and team generators. There is no account, no subscription and no payment.

Using the tools fairly

  • Use the tools for everyday decisions, games, meetings, events, streams and learning.
  • Don’t use them for gambling, lotteries, raffles, sweepstakes, prize draws or anything where money or prizes depend on the result. The tools are not certified for that, and a result is not evidence in a dispute.
  • Don’t use them for decisions that need professional judgment, such as medical, legal, financial, hiring or safety decisions.
  • Don’t use the site to harass or embarrass people, for example by putting someone’s name on a wheel against their wishes.
  • Don’t try to disrupt or overload the site or get around its security.

Results

Results are random. Each tool explains on its page how it picks, and we work hard to make every method correct and fair, but we can’t guarantee that a tool is free of errors. You are responsible for how you use a result.

Your content

The names, lists and settings you enter stay on your device and remain yours. You are responsible for having the right to use the names and text you enter, and for sharing links only with people who should see what they contain.

Our content

The site’s design, code, texts, word lists and images belong to the operator of Unbiased Wheel unless marked otherwise. You may link to any page, share results and screenshots, and embed tools with the embed code the site provides, which keeps a link back to Unbiased Wheel. Please don’t copy the site’s texts or lists to publish them elsewhere.

Trademarks

Names of other companies’ products and games appear only to describe what a tool is similar to or works with, for example “jeopardy-style” or “works in OBS”. Unbiased Wheel is not affiliated with or endorsed by those trademark owners.

The site may show ads and links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Tools may change, pause or end at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the operator of Unbiased Wheel is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that arise from using a result, a share link or the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and important changes are listed on the changelog.
